Tensioning tool for belt tensioners
Suitable for Mercedes 1.5, 1.7 and 2.0 (M 266.920 /.940 /.960 /.980) petrol engines with Start/Stop System. Installed on e.g. Mercedes A-class (W169) and B-class (W245) etc. Alternative tool: W 266 589 00 31 00

Required for correct tensioning and loosening of the hydraulic V-belt tensioner, e.g. when removing and installing the tensioner or when changing the V-belt. Clamping without suitable clamping tools can cause damage to the expensive clamping tools, resulting in a high risk of injury from flying parts.

Important note: The tensioning process up to the stop (at least 20 seconds) must be very slow, otherwise the tensioning device may be damaged.

It is necessary to correct the tension and corrective action of the hydraulic system of the trapezoidal cable, by example of the dismantling and mounting of the trapezoidal cable. The mise en tension without the tension appropriation and the dispositif of the tension coûteux, is also the risk of injuries due to the parts involved.

Remark important : The tension process is long overdue (within 20 seconds), since the tension is released until it ends.
